Choosing the right survey for you

It can be difficult to choose the right type of survey for your specific property and concerns. When you contact us we will talk you through your options to ensure you make the right decision.

 

Building Surveys

A Building Survey is the most comprehensive report on a property's condition. It is particularly useful for larger, older or more unusual properties.

 

Every accessible and visible aspect of the property will be looked at and advice given on problems uncovered and any work that may be required.

 

Our Building Survey reports will also include the Market Value of the property and a Reinstatement Cost assessment of the property.

RICS Homebuyers Surveys

The RICS HomeBuyer Report (HBR) is an in-depth visual inspection of a property. In the report we provide an expert account of the property’s condition and highlight any problems. We use a clear and easy to understand ‘traffic light’ system.

 

This survey is less expensive than a Building Survey. It covers the same areas but provides less detail.

 

The report will include the Market Value of the property and a Reinstatement Cost assessment of the property.

 

Defect Reports

This report provides a detailed inspection of a specific defect in a property.

 

Our assessment will cover our observations of the issue, including the cause, consequences and effects, and the actions that should be undertaken to resolve the issue.
